Education for Women?

Woman in Education

For my family, education is one of the important things in life. And i give thank to God because i'm in family that support me to go ahead in education.
Why i write this article? Because i see with my eyes, most of women still have a mindset that education isn't important. They think that go to school is  the bad time and it means they can't enjoy their life. They can't go to mall, no time to hang out with friends, no time to have chocolate time at cafe. That's why most of girls think that school time is the time for have fun with friends, time for looking a guy that can accompany in prom night, or only a routine activity to make parent be happy.

Ladies, i say to you, don't waste your time if you don't understand about the meaning of education. If you think that education isn't important for your life, go out from your school because you just wasting time! But, wait! Don't leave your school until you finish my story about education.

I was born at 1987 in Purwokerto, Central Java, Indonesia. When i came into this world, my father was in hospital because of an accident. He couldn't wake up for 9 months. And it started my family to a new situation (before accident my father is a businessman), that was called "poor".  I grew up in small place in Cilacap, Central Java, Indonesia.

My mom always said to me, "You don't have anything, but God gives you wisdom to finish your school because with education God will lead you to a new life."
But, when i was 5 yr old, it was so difficult for me to go to school. I was so lazy. I said to myself,  "Why i must wake up in the morning, go to school, listening my teacher, must do homework and i don't have time to play with my friends?" But, every morning when i didn't go to school, my mom will punished me. In that time, i was angry with my mom because i didn't understand why i must go to school.
But, praise God, when i was 6 yr old, i saw my best friend named Komang (she is from Bali) got the first rank in my school and she got a prize too. Suddenly i felt that i was so sad why i couldn't get the prize. I imagined if i can get the first rank and get the prize maybe i can help my mom and dad. I prayed to God and say to Him, "God, i want the first rank in my study! I want get the prize to help my mom and dad! Amen." And from that time, i seriously with my study. I always study, study, study. I read all of the books that i have. I always read before my teacher. And i always do the task from the text book. Tired? Of course, sometimes i felt tired. But, i remember that i must finish my school well if i want to get the prize. And God heard my pray. I always get the first rank! And it follow me until college.

And i got the prize, scholarship. In elementary school, i got scholarship (i got free) for 3 years. In Junior High School, i got scholarship for 3 years again. In Senior High School, i got scholarship again for 3 years :) And i can buy more books with the money. That's why although i was living in small city, but i can now more information than my friends. I always bought Bobo Magazine (i got the prize from this magazine for twice) and sometimes i bought another books. I also followed some education competition like Math, oration, little doctor, scout, science and the last when i was in Senior High School i followed Indonesian Computer Olympiad. And praise God, i won the first rank of Cilacap and i went to province.
I felt that my mom is right. Education is very important. But, i will share more.

Education not only give "the prize or scholarship" but more than it.

I entered a college named STMIK Pelita Nusantara at Jogja, Indonesia. And my experiences from Elementary School till Senior High School was very useful for me. I chose Information Technology because i love computer since first sight. And i passed my college for 5 years. I graduated last year with 3.95 and got the first rank. In 5 years, i learned more about education. I studied algorithm, web, multimedia, computer science, human, character building and many more. And i never used my holiday to back home or hang out with my friends, but i always used my holiday to studied a new thing for me, such as photography, CMS (Content Management System), economy management, marketing, and many more. Sometimes, i just played computer games like Zuma, Dinner Dash or Wedding Dash. Bored? Yeah, i felt it sometimes. But, i remembered that education is more important than hang out to mall.

I never stop to give the best result in my study. That's why i applied my program to the Indonesian Competition for University Student. Praise God, i and my team was approved to go to the National level after we win the regional level. We went to Lampung to presentation our program. Although we were not a winner, but that's very amazing experience.
During my college, i got some prizes from the government. One of my project named "Jogja Tourism CD" won 1st rank of Jogja. And it covered by local newspaper. My experiences in education always lead me to the next level.

I worked as marketing of my college from 2006-2008. And it gave me more experiences. I went to some cities in Indonesia and learned how to be the best speaker. It was so difficult for me to speak slowly, but day by day i learned how to speak slowly.
After it, i worked as marketing again in phone shop named "Macell Group" from 2008-2009. One year before i graduated, the owner of my college asked me to be his staff. I started from an admin in my new job. But, because of my experiences in education, God led me to a new job, Event Organizer. Then, one year after it, God led me to be a leader in multimedia department and the end of 2010, God add another job for me, that is Youth Leader. And in this year, God add one more, that is Teens Leader.
Now, i can earn money and save it for my needed. And i see that God brings my family to the highest level. Now, my family has a car, home, food, drink, and some equipments.

I know now that's why God say in The Bible : "Likewise knowledge, and wisdom for your soul--Get that and your future's secured, your hope is on solid rock. (Psalm 24:14|Message Bible)"
God created human to learn something because God wants we searching wisdom like a gold. 


This is reasons why women need more education :


1. We need education to show that we can be like a man


Remember when our world was in the war? Women in that time couldn't get an education. Why? Because people had a mindset that women is only a weak person, that will become a wife or only serve men in sex. That's why women only got education about kitchen, cook, and sex. Not more. Science? Economy? Hem, that was for men. But, praise God. He has arisen some women to broke this mindset. In Indonesia we know her as R.A Kartini. She broke this mindset and gave a new hope for women to get same life with men. So, if you now think that education is not important, how pity you are!

2. We need education to be a leader for ourself


Do you think everyone can be a leader for itself? No! Some people let another people lead their life. They are led like a doll. That's why some people can't get breakthrough in their life. Ladies, if we want to get the breakthrough of our life, just learn more! Never be lazy to learn! Never afraid of our boyfriends if we refuse his libido to get sex before marriage (some women can't refuse because they don't know how dangerous sex before marriage). If our boyfriend control our life, who is the leader of our life? We must lead our life to walk in the right way. With right education, we will become a leader for ourself.

3. We need education to bring us to the next level


Have you think about your future? Most of women say that their company is a bad because they only paid very cheap. But, before we complain about our fee, let's check about the education that we have. Can you manage 100 people or you can manage only 10 people? Can you give 100 new innovations for your company or you only can think about fee? Can you promote your company to 100 people and impact them to buy your company's product or you only can playing Yahoo games in your computer? Can you use internet to grow up your company in cyber or you only can open facebook? You know, if we want to be led to the next level, just check our capacity. Because promotion will follow our quality! And quality is the result from what is our input. If we input more education, our quality will increase. But, if we only input film, social networking, lazy style, our quality will become only like a men without a hope.

4. Education is One of The Way to Make Your Family to Be Happy


What do you think about our parent? What must we give for them to reply their love to us? That's is SUCCESS in EDUCATION! Some women decide to leave their school because they think they don't have smart brain. Another women decide to leave their school because they are pregnant. Some of women decide to fail in school because they are so lazy to finish their education. Don't you think why our parent always support us and try to send us to the best school in our city? Because they want see, someday, they will stand up beside their daughter that get Master in Science or Master in Economy or Doctor or Bachelor of IT or another. They just want it! They just want to see their lovely daughter get success for the future! What will happen if we brake their dream with leaving our school? Sadness. Make our family proud of us and make them happy with our success.
