Women without Character is Monster!

Have you heard this quotation, "Character without talent is pity. Talent without Character is Monster. Character with talent is Master"?
Maybe when we hear this quotation we will laugh because we think that everyone in this world has both, character and talent. But, let me tell you now, not everyone in this world has both!

I remember when i was child, i had a friend named "A". A is a good girl. She never come late at school, she always bring all the equipment, she always do must she do (clean the class room, join flag ceremony, join all activities in our school). She is very patient and very honesty. But, she never upgrade her talent, skill and intelligent. That's why although she join all the activity but she never get good result. She never learn how to use computer well, how to upgrade English, how to speak in public, how to be a leader. And how pity her, when the time was coming, she couldn't pass well. She is failed to continue her study.
Maybe we ask to God : "What happen? Why You do like this to the good girl?" The answer because she didn't upgrade her talent! She didn't find the talent in herself. She never upgrade her skill. So, although she is good girl, but hey, God says in Bible : "Go to the ant and learn from them, because they can collect their food in the right time". This is meant that God want we can learn and upgrade our skill beside our character. Skill or talent is one of the key to get the next level in every area.

But, let me tell you another story. I have a friend that very unique. Why i call her unique? Because she has great talents in her life. She is multi talent! Beside beautiful, she also can sing, lead people, organize people, and many more. We can find all the talents for leadership in her life. But, she never upgrade her character. Sometimes, she lie to people or group. Sometimes, she can't control her anger. Sometimes, she can't decide what is the right way for her life. That's why although she has a lot of talents, but because of her character, people can't accept her in their life. She never stay in one job because she always has a problem in every area. Because of her character, her talent become useless and can't help her to reach next level. That's why, talent without character is a monster!
So, as a wise women, we must know that We can reach the next level with our talent and charisma, but to stay in our position we need Character!

So, how to upgrade our character as a women?

1. Keep our heart (Psalm 4 : 23)
If we always keep our heart, we will get "The Inner Peace". We will know when we are happy, when we can be sad, when we must control our anger, etc.

2. Only accept The Good Input (Psalm 1 : 1)
If our body receive the bad things, we will find that we become bad too. So, keep our eyes, ears, mind and heart from the bad things. Maybe the bad things is about gossip, wrong news, etc.

3. Ask God's Wisdom (Psalm 33 : 18-29a)
Only God that can give 1001 wisdom to us to control our life! That's why we need His wisdom to upgrade our character. We can control our tongue when we ask God how to control it. The key is how deep our relationship with God.

4. Learn from Character Education
This is my advice, try to learn from character education in school of character. In Indonesia wen can try John Robert Powers. In school of character, we will learn about how to know ourself, how to speak in public, how to get good communication with another, how to learn attitude and many more. So, just try it!
